Winter Wonderland Quilt - part 2 design wall

Winter Wonderland
Quilt!

Do you have a design wall?
I hang my flannel design wall on a playroom wall near my sewing machine - it has a plastic grid on the opposite side
that shows through to help me keep on track.
I just hang it right over these photographs rather take them down when I need the wall for a project.
My husband's hobby is gardening, so I take pictures of some of his creations and hang them in our playroom!
He supports my hobbies and I support his.  I know every inch of the garden center at Home Depot and he's gone fabric shopping with me!

The design wall helps keep track of your progress and if a mistake has been made - better to catch it now!
Keeping some
tricky pieces in a baggie with a label as to what step it is helps too
I've reused them later on in my daughters lunch bag!  I wonder if her friends asked what kind of sandwich G/E/G is?
I  kept notes all over the pattern.  Most days I have about an hour or two to work on my projects - so mine are never "Quilt in a Day" invented by Eleanor Burns.  Having my left off notes and checked off completion makes it easier to find my place the next time I an hour to create.
Quilt in a Day and Eleanor BurnsShe's a lot of fun to watch on TV and took chain piecing to whole new level.  But the only time I can work on any project all day long is if it's one of these days and I can't and don't
want to get out any where!
I better get organized for a new project!  More snow is in the forecast maybe it will be enough to make it a sew day!   I love a good snow - sew day!
