My "B" Wall

I finally bought by new binder for my output recipe stay or go challenge
and I needed some cover art
a bit of a shaky start
but it feels good to paint on a Saturday afternoon'
and isn't that what matters?

I have letter B collection on my wall!
It started simply enough, I saw a gold letter B
and I loved it!  It reminded me of a sitcom comedy show I watched when I was younger and the main character had a large letter of her first name.  I chose 'B' for our family - after all, it's our living room!
This was soon followed by
an alphabet letter 'B' from a trip to Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia.  Well, things kinda got out of hand from there!  Lower case 'B's, a fabric one from my daughter, my son's gifting a 'B' at Christmas, my other daughter brought this one back from her school trip to Denmark
I bought this one at the craft store plain and
decoupaged quilt patterned wrapping paper over it

Who could resist a over sized typewriter key for her collection!
And how was I to pass up a hand embroidered
one that I could turn into a pillow!

One of my favorite is a 'B' on saw as a part of desk decorations in a home furnishing store.
(the paint wasn't chipping at the time, it's more
fragile than I realized)  anyway - when I walked around to the front of the desk, I saw what it was supposed to be!
an ampersand!
Maybe I should turn it back around to be an ampersand as the paint is not chipping on that side!  I'll make a
B & B
on a shelf!

Did you know Nate Berkus's mother has a 'B' wall!I am not sure if she copied me, but mine was already created when he brought it up on his show "The Nate Berkus Show" - we'll just leave it at "great minds think a like"!
CREATIVE OUTPUT
thinning out my cookbook challenge!

This recipe came from an episode of the "Nate Berkus Show"!  I copied down the simple recipe - and then the show got cancelled or he was ready to move on.

Nate had on the show to chefs Daniel Holzman and Michael Cherernow from New York City's "The Meatball Shop".  My husband loves meatballs, plus we have two teenagers home right now, and since this finishes in the crock pot time to give it a try.Meatball UES

CROCK POT CHEESY MEATBALLS from The Meatball Shop, NYC

Prep time:  30-40 mins   Cook time:  3-5 hours on low   Yield:  2 inch round balls = 24 total

1 lb ground beef
1/2 lb ground pork or uncooked sausage
4 Tbsp Parmesan Cheese
1/2 cup dry breadcrumbs
2 large eggs
1/2 tsp salt and pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder, dried basil, dried oregano
4 oz mozzarella cheese, cut into small cubes (about 1/2 inch) to fit in the meatballs
2 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
shredded mozzarella cheese for topping
large jar of spaghetti sauce
sandwich rolls or spaghetti

Combine meat, Parmesan cheese, eggs, s&p, and spices in a large bowl.  Add bread crumbs a little at a time until mixture can be formed into balls.  Press cheese cube into center of each meatball.  Heat oil in pan, medium heat.  Add balls and brown, turning while cooking until browned but not cooked.  With a slotted spoon, transfer balls to the crock pot prepared with non stick cooking spray.  Pour in spaghetti sauce, cover and cook 3 - 5  hours on low.    *smaller balls will cook in just 3 hours.
Oh my goodness!  These have to be the best meatballs in the world!  So velvety soft - they just melt in your mouth!

I wouldn't waste them on spaghetti, try a loaf of Italian bread for dipping and pair with a lightly dressed Italian salad.  So Good!  Thank you Meatball Shop - and we miss you Nate Berkus daytime TV!
This will not be a weekly dinner in our house, although sooo good, and a crock pot recipe - it's still gushy to make!  Take any rings you have off beforehand just in case.

Mixing up raw meat and eggs with your bare hands is not my greatest thrill, but these tasty meatballs are worth diving into the gush!
It's going in the new book!

I am waiting until morning to see if I still like my watercolors enough to make it to the cover...

Pam
